The Artist: Neeti Aggarwal
About the Artist
Neeti Aggarwal is a contemporary artist with 18 years of practice in modern figurative and abstract paintings. Her paintings are grounded in a distinctive contemporary language that brings together abstraction, symbolism and material depth.
Her transition from a flourishing corporate career in financial research and publishing, supported by an MBA and CFA, to a dedicated artistic practice gives her work a rare duality. She strengthened her creative foundation through a three-year Diploma in Fine Arts from Delhi in 2010.
Since then she has presented six solo exhibitions and participated in numerous group shows across India, building a sustained presence within the contemporary art landscape.
Her works have been exhibited at respected venues including India Habitat Centre, Lalit Kala Akademi, AIFACS and other gallery platforms across the country.
Her paintings are also held in private collections in India, the United States, Canada and Singapore, reflecting their growing appeal among collectors in India and internationally.
Concept and Medium
Working with acrylics and mixed media, her textured, palette-knife compositions explore cyclical time, transformation and human experience, bridging structured thought with intuitive expression across evolving spatial and symbolic forms.
She likes to thread meaningful messages, an aura of positive vibes and pleasing aesthetics into an interplay of figurative and abstract concepts in my unique style. Her paintings are expressive of invisible depths of human emotions and beliefs that are often spiritual and transcendental. She works in layers using acrylic and mixed media on canvas to create visual depth and interplay of light and colours. Each of her painting conveys a unique thought often related to changing facets of relationships, inspirations and the learning as the wheels of time turn on this journey of life.
